Still Waiting: The Qalandars City Plots Promised by Lahore Qalandars
During the PSL 8 final, Lahore Qalandars made a bold, public promise in a video shared across their social media platforms — viewed over 1 million times — that every player and support staff member would receive a plot in Qalandars City.
It was a moment of pride, loyalty, and recognition.
But since then — no clarity, no updates, no progress.
Despite repeated efforts to seek answers through verbal requests, WhatsApp messages, and emails, there’s been no official response.
Now, we are turning to the fans, the heartbeat of this team, to ask Lahore Qalandars to address this issue publicly. Poor handling of this broken promise risks damaging the integrity and reputation of the Qalandars brand — something none of us want.
This is not an attack — it’s a respectful call for answers and accountability.
If Qalandars City is no longer possible, then let there be an honest explanation or a meaningful gesture in its place.

The Unkept Promise: Qalandars City and the Quest for Closure
Qalandars City, launched in 2022–2023, emerged as a significant real estate initiative closely associated with the Lahore Qalandars cricket franchise, a prominent team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Its promotion was extensive, particularly during PSL 8 (2023), and it captured the attention of investors and fans alike, including a heartfelt promise to players and support staff.
Project Launch and Promotion
Qalandars City was introduced as a flagship real estate venture, symbolizing the expansion of the Lahore Qalandars brand beyond cricket. The project gained visibility through multiple promotional channels during PSL 8, including:
- Television commercials, airing ads to reach a broad audience.
- In-stadium banners, displayed during PSL matches to engage live spectators.
- Social media campaigns, leveraging platforms to connect with fans and potential investors.
- Broadcast sponsorships, integrating promotions into PSL broadcasts for maximum exposure.
Qalandars City: A Support Staff’s Plea for Closure
As members of the Lahore Qalandars support staff, we’ve always worked quietly behind the scenes—through matches, tours, and late nights—to help our team succeed. On the night of the PSL 8 Final in 2023, when Lahore Qalandars lifted the trophy, our pride was immeasurable. That night, we were promised something extraordinary: every player and support staff member would receive a plot in Qalandars City, a real estate project linked to the Qalandars brand.
It wasn’t just a plot—it was recognition. A symbol of our journey. A gesture that made us feel seen and valued.
Then Came Silence
Two years later, as of May 20, 2025, we’ve received no official updates, paperwork, or clarity from Lahore Qalandars. This lack of communication leaves us seeking answers. We’re speaking up, not in anger, but out of loyalty, hoping for closure.
Attempts to Engage Lahore Qalandars
For nearly two years, I sought answers through conversations, calls, and messages, but received no clear response. In April 2025, I launched a respectful social media campaign to encourage dialogue, pausing it after sending a formal email in early May, a reminder email, and a WhatsApp message to a senior official. I’ve received no reply, not even a brief acknowledgment. This silence feels like we’ve been overlooked, despite our trust in the Qalandars family.
Bilal Qayyum (Former Employee)
We’re not alone. Other support staff share this uncertainty, quietly hoping for clarity. The lack of communication stings, especially when the promise was so public and heartfelt.
Call for Transparency and Accountability
The situation highlights the need for transparency in projects tied to sports franchises. While Lahore Qalandars remain a beloved team, with fans and staff supporting their endeavors, loyalty includes seeking clarity. Without answers, we miss a chance to strengthen our bond through open dialogue. The call is for:
- A public statement sharing the status of Qalandars City—whether it’s ongoing, delayed, or no longer feasible.
- Clear information about the plots promised to support staff.
- If the plots aren’t feasible, a gesture of good faith, such as an alternative recognition, to honor the spirit of the promise.
This isn’t about rebellion—it’s about respect. We’re not in the spotlight like players, but we were there every step of the way. Our efforts fueled the PSL 8 triumph, and we deserve to know where we stand.
Why We’re Speaking Up
We bleed red and green. We’re proud Qalandars, and speaking up doesn’t change that. Loyalty means standing by the team, but it also means holding it accountable. When promises affect real people—our livelihoods, our trust, our pride—silence isn’t loyalty. It’s a missed chance to show what Qalandars truly stand for: integrity, unity, and family. We’re raising our voices with love, not hate. We believe in the Qalandars’ heart and hope they’ll respond with the same. A simple acknowledgment, an honest update, or a new plan could rebuild the trust we’ve always had.
Join Our Call
If you’re a support staff member, fan, or believer in fairness, join us in seeking closure, not conflict. Let’s affirm the Qalandars family’s values of honesty and respect. Together, we can remind Lahore Qalandars of the promise’s meaning and its lasting importance to us.
